It looks like May is as much about making things happen as April was about resting and organizing.  I am seeing ideas to challenge myself, and I’m accepting the challenge.

First, it was the 30 minutes challenge (which, by the way, I did not get to today), now, it’s the 30 day squat challenge I’ve accepted with a group of women.  Whatever happens, it sure can’t hurt me!

Meanwhile, I knocked a few more things off of my To Do list today, even if I didn’t put my effort into it all day.  Bills are paid and filed away as are some documents for my portfolio.  Having just the latest two volumes within arm’s reach ensures that things no longer pile up in cubbyholes or on top of my desk.

As with my other decluttering efforts, once something is clean, I tend to keep it that way as I don’t want to go through the pain of having to clean it back up again.  I know what that feels like and see no need to revisit it!

I also finished my latest batch of gazpacho today, just in time for the trip I have planned for tomorrow to get more veggies (after I go to the gym, of course!).  My arms and back are a bit achy today, so I’m grateful that tomorrow is leg day.  I only hope that it’s not worse tomorrow or lifting the veggies and the bowl itself will prove, if not challenging, definitely painful!  But as the end result is so yummy, I would truly be able to say “But it hurts soooo good!”

Not much else is happening right now.  I have to take Dylan and Munchkin to the vet on Thursday (I realized that she hasn’t had a checkup in ages!), and that Toby is overdue as well.  I’m just taking things one day at a time for now, though.

I found that today I was rather jumpy and edgy, not with anxiety, but more like anticipation; what I like to call “Disneyland mind” because it’s the way the kids and I always got when a treat like a trip to Disneyland was coming up.  I don’t really know what it is I’m anticipating, but I do know that it’s mot a “waiting for the shoe to drop” feeling but more of a “things are going to be going a mile a minute soon, so I’d best make sure I have my sneaks ready!” feeling.

For now, I’ll keep up my meditation routine, do my daily squats, go to the gym three times a week, keep making reasonably healthy meals (tonight was Trader Joe’s pesto pizza and a salad), get my clients up to date and keep doing the 30 minute writing thing (more consistently than today, that is!)

My gratitudes tonight are:
1. I am grateful for the companionship of my cats while I travel this new, often somewhat isolated road.
2. I am grateful for things to look forward to like dance nights with friends and squat challenges.
3. I am grateful for getting organized.   I have a feeling I’m going to need it more than I realize right now.
4. I am grateful for things to look forward to, even when I don’t quite know what they are.
5. I am grateful for getting down to business.  Putting myself back on somewhat of a schedule means that, overall, I’m more productive.

Love and light.
