If I didn’t find the cure for my erratic sleep patterns of the last few days tonight, I’m going to wonder why tomorrow.  A nearly empty club left me lots of room to dance, and, surprisingly, more opportunity to do couples dancing as well.  In fact, I found that I danced two, complete line dance sets plus the two-step/couples set between them before finally taking a break to rest my knees and hydrate!  Not only that, I stayed about an hour later than I normally do as well, so I can only imagine just how much time I spent on that dance floor, but the energy, for all there were fewer people, was absolutely amazing!  I would venture to say that I spent the majority of the nearly 4 hours I was there in a state of complete joy, which often slipped all the way into the “bliss” realm!

Heck!  I’m still smiling!!!  I did have the sense to stop and stretch a couple of times throughout the evening, but my knees may still be calling me some rather unpleasant names by morning.  Little do they know that all their rudeness will get them is…you got it!  More stretching!  Mwahahahahaha!

They’d best get used to it though, as I’ve been talking to some friends about doing some mini hikes (5 miles or less), and eventually working myself up to some not-so-mini hikes! (though it will be awhile before I am in their class.  They just got back from hiking the Grand Canyon!)   I’m looking forward, not only to the exercise, but to the social aspect of getting out with a group of friends.  But this has the added bonus of also getting out in nature, in the sunshine!  What could be better??  (it may be slightly off topic, but I really had to share this picture and quote!  It’s just so me!!!)

Although having the kids move away has been tougher than I’d expected, it’s also looking like it will be very good for all of us as well.  Heather is making friends in her new neighborhood and going back to school and generating a ton of positive energy for herself.  I’m trying new things, getting together with people outside of dancing and generating more of the good stuff myself.  I’m sure that part of the joy I felt today was simply a stronger connection with the people around me.

So I guess the recipe for joy is one part dancing, one part positive people, one part new stuff, and another part sunshine.  Mix it all up and you have a pretty potent potion!   I feel lighter and happier, just thinking about it!

Since we attract more of what we already are, I see lots of lighter, happier, free-er, more joy and abundance filling my road, and really, the roads of anyone who wanders into my little oasis of joy over the next few weeks or so!  What a great concept!  To be a veritable rolling stone, gathering joy and bliss and abundance and happiness and friends to share it all with, wherever I roll!

My gratitudes tonight are:
1. I am grateful for amazing dance nights.
2. I am grateful for friends who are giving me opportunities to be less of a hermit.
3. I am grateful for being a joy and abundance magnet.
4. I am grateful to be able to share my joy and abundance with those I attract.
5. I am grateful for a wonderful, restful night’s sleep.

Love and light
